Aggression (dog-to-dog and dog-to-human), conflict between animals within the home, possessiveness (resource guarding) of toys, food, furniture and people, innate owner guarding traits, fear and anxiety-based behaviours, phobias, separation-related problem behaviours, issues associated with reactivity and hyper-arousal on walks and during car travel; these are all common complaints from dog owners and each of these behavioural issues can be effectively addressed through a personalized reinforcement-based training program. This is the type of training we specialize in.
Often our waiting list can be quite long, (commonly 8-10 weeks wait time for an appointment). We do however reserve some spaces for emergency aggression cases. We also maintain a list of other competent and experienced behaviour consultants, veterinary behaviourists, and dog trainers in our area, so we can often recommend a suitable person who will be available much sooner.
Training for competition and online titles.
Competing with your dog can be fun and creates an incredible bond. There are many competitive dog sports to choose from in Australia, some of the most recognized sports include: Obedience, Rally-O, Agility, Tricks, Heelwork to Music, Musical Freestyle, Agility, Tracking, Flyball, Scent Work, and Retrieving & Field Trials. Training our dog to work with us to perform cued tasks adds stimulation and enrichment to their life and can add to the human-dog bond.
Providing the handler knows how to train in a positive way, any dog can perform all competition behaviours accurately and reliably without ever feeling forced or pressured. This allows our dog to build skills, whilst enjoying every minute of the training process.
Beyond in-person competitions, nowadays there is also an option of online titling with dogs. Many people find this less intimidating, less expensive and more practical than attending a competition. It is also an excellent option for anxious or reactive dogs.

Puppy and pet training.
NOTE: We are currently so busy with behaviour consultations that we no longer offer puppy training or pet training (e.g. dogs jumping up at visitors, dogs pulling on walks (without any reactivity/aggression), dogs requiring basic pet skills such as go to a mat, come when called, etc.)
